The main activity of the UX Association (Prague ACM SIGCHI) is to develop and shape the UX local market with regard to a foreign trends and experiences, increase public awareness of HCI, UX and provide a support for a UX specialists, business and academia.
SIGCHI local chapter was established in 1998. Until 2006, it was mainly focused on the organization of specialized professional events and lectures. After the success of Prague World Usability Day 2005, the first public event in this field held locally, Sun Microsystems, the Czech Technical University Department of Computer Science in Prague – Faculty of Electrical Engineering (CTU FEE) and Dobry web has began to organize public SIGCHI meetings locally.
Since then, there have been many meetings with speakers from companies such as Sun Microsystems, Adobe, Microsoft, IBM and Google and individuals like Aaron Marcus or Eric Reiss.

Chair: Ing. Luboš Plotěný
Luboš is the director of Dobry web and ExperienceU. He is the author of the book Building a successful corporate Web Site, and co-author of the book User-Friendly Interface. During his work in Dobry web he has successfully worked in digital marketing with dozens of clients of different sectors and sizes.
Vice Chair: Ing. Jiří Mžourek
Jiří works at AVG Technologies, where he is responsible for managing the User Experience department. Before the AVG he worked at Sun Microsystems and Oralce as senior manager, where he was responsible for international UX team which he built. Web: www.mzourek.org.
Ing. Zdeněk Míkovec, Ph.D.
Zdenek works at the Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction at Czech Technical University (CTU) as a researcher and lecturer. He is a leader of usability lab at CTU. He has cooperated in several international research projects funded by the European Commission (Mummy, ELU, i2home, VitalMind, AEGIS, ACCESSIBLE). His main focus is the user interaction with special needs (especially visually impaired) and interaction in special environments (interactive television, mobile environment). Adam works in Dobry web and ExperienceU as a user experience designer. He designs user interface, information architecture, carries out user testing and analysis. As a tutor he leads training on UX, he regularly publishes about this topic and he is also speaker at professional conferences in the Czech Republic and abroad. He is a co-author of the book User-Friendly Interface.
Mgr. Jakub Franc
Jakub is a Principal User Researcher in the AVG Technologies. He worked in companies such as Sun Microsystems, Oracle and ExperienceU. His domain is usability testing and qualitative methods of collecting user data. He is involved in the Czech Technical University research projects and develops interdisciplinary collaboration between HCI and psychology.
Prof. Ing. Pavel Slavík, CSc.
Pavel is one of the pioneers in the field of HCI in Czech Republic. He currently teaches at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Department of Computer Graphics and Interaction at Czech Technical University. Ing. Ondřej Langr
Ondřej works as a User Experience Architect in the AVG. He worked for companies such as Sun Microsystems (where he was responsible for the UX of one of its products), Oracle or ExperienceU agency (which he co-founded) and helped improve the UX in several small even large international companies. He occasionally tries to evangelize interaction design and UX in Czech Republic. He is an enthusiastic skier, photographer and traveler.
Mgr. Nikola Dynybylová
Nikola works at Dobry web as a UX Specialist, where she designs user-friendly interfaces. She is also interested in industrial design and architecture.
Ing. Josef Holý
Josef worked at Sun Microsystems as a Social Network and Interaction Designer. He has developed his own technology startup Proactify He focuses on (but not only) web technology trends and their importance for a user-centered design.
JUDr. PhDr. Marek Antoš, Ph.D.
Marek works in the Czech Internet field since 1994 and he established a several of projects such as Lupa.cz, WebTop100 or Dobry web. As the executive director of the Dobry web he is responsible for its strategic development. He is also works at Internet Info, TUESDAY Business Network and CZ.NIC.
